New users should click on the link at the top of the login box "sign up for a new account". To learn to use RefWorks, register or log in, then click on the Tutorial link that appears under HELP in the RefWorks banner at the top of the page or contact a Reference Librarian.

Refworks is integrated with Microsoft Word via the Write'n'cite plug-in. This can be downloaded from the tools menu once you have logged in. It is installed on all the computers in the Libraries. An installation help file is available. Version 4 is is recommended. Note that Word 2013 is currently not supported by any version until a fall update is released.
Off campus use may require a Group Code. That code is in the initial setup email sent when registering. Users needing the group code should contact reference.
RefWorks is a service restricted to Colgate students, faculty and staff.
