Preformulated MEDLINE searches are included in MedlinePlus and give easy access to medical journal articles. MedlinePlus also has extensive information about drugs, an illustrated medical encyclopedia, interactive patient tutorials, and latest health news. (free and availble to anyone)

Accunet/ AP Multimedia Archive: Images from the Associated Press archive of news photographs. You can search by subject, date and location. There are restrictions on re-use of images. [very new acquisition - setup still in progress]
ArtStor: Search for images of art.
FirstGov - U.S. Government Photos and Multimedia: Most of these images and graphics are available for use in the public domain.
