Academic -- Colgate Users Only
Provides full-text documents from
over 5,900 news, business, legal, medical, and reference publications including
national and regional newspapers,
wire services, broadcast transcripts, international news, and non-English
language sources with a variety of flexible search. Coverage varies by
title: earliest (New York Times) 1980-current.

Ethnic Newswatch

An interdisciplinary, bilingual (English and Spanish) and comprehensive
full text database of newspapers, magazines and journals from ethnic, minority
and native presses. Linking the current database (1990-present) with a
retrospective backfile of titles (1960-1989), the collective coverage spans more
than four decades, from 1960 to the present.
Access World News - International Edition

Articles cover politics, economics, culture,
business, science, technology, and the environment from Africa, Asia, Europe,
the former Soviet Union, the Pacific Rim, Central and South America, and the
Middle East. All articles are in English and are from translated broadcasts,
news agency transmissions, wire services, newspapers, magazines, and government

AP Images (Associated Press)-- Colgate Users Only
AP Images contains over 3 million photographs from the 1840’s through today, with more than 3,000 photos being added on a daily basis. Additionally, users can search through over 50,000 graphics, including maps, timelines, logos and graphs.

Provides quick access to the indexing of
America's top five newspapers in one seamless search: The New York Times,

Newspaper Source
(Ebscohost) -- Colgate Users Only
Provides selected full text for 25 national
(U.S.) and international newspapers, including USA Today, The Christian
Science Monitor, The Washington Post, The Times (London), The Toronto
Star, etc. The database also contains selected full text for more than 200
regional (U.S.) newspapers, including The Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune,
The Detroit Free Press, The Miami Herald, The New York Daily News, The San Jose
Mercury News, etc. In addition, full text television & radio news
transcripts are provided from CBS News, FOX News, NPR, etc. Coverage
varies by title.
In addition to the online databases, Colgate University Libraries holds several

America's Historical Newspapers allows users to search more than 1,000 U.S. historical newspapers published between 1690 and 1922, including titles from all 50 states. (formerly called Early American Newspapers, Series I, II, and III) Being released in stages - additional content will be added.
Chronicling America : Historic American Newspapers (1900-1910)
Chronicling America is a prototype Website providing access to information about historic newspapers and select digitized newspaper pages, and is produced by the National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP). Currently only content from 1900 - 1910 and from the following states is available: California, District of Columbia, Florida, Kentucky, New York, Utah, and Virginia. Ultimately, over a period of approximately 20 years, NDNP will create a national, digital resource of historically significant newspapers from all the states and U.S. territories published between 1836 and 1922. This searchable database will be permanently maintained at the Library of Congress (LC) and be freely accessible via the Internet.
